He's Here!

Baby Campbell was born on March 22, at 11:05 am.  It was a nice and stress free labor and delivery!  We love him so much!

Today is my last day pregnant!  Weird and a little stressful trying to get all the last minute stuff done but I am so excited to meet this little guy.  I know I'm forgetting how much  work a newborn is, but luckily I have a great husband and my parents are close by this time to help with Ashtyn!
I don't know how much of all this Ashtyn comprehends but I want to make this a smooth transition for her.  We got her a little gift from baby Campbell and I've been reading a lot of good articles about how to help your child not resent the baby.  So we'll see how all this goes.  It makes me sad to think that Ashtyn isn't going to be my baby anymore but I love how she loves to be a big girl and good helper for mommy!
Ashtyn is really getting into her baby dolls and the little girly stuff.  She has her baby Belle and has to take her everywhere with her... to the table to eat, to the store, to bed, etc... I actually love it!  So for St. Patricks day, we had to paint our finger nails green.  Even daddy got in on the action!

While we had the finger nail polish out, we decided to make a color wheel since we are learning our colors!

Happy New Year!!!

2012 was a really good year for our little family.  Here is my top 5 good things about last year:

5. Work.  My dance teams did really well and Dave is still happy with his job.
4.  Everyone stayed healthy and happy
3.  Going on little family trips to Durango and Utah
2. Watching Ashtyn grow into such a big girl
1.  The best thing about this year was finding out we are expecting a little boy!

I know that 2013 will be even better!

My brother Bryan and his family were able to come down to Texas on Christmas day.  I haven't seen them since I was pregnant with Ashtyn, and since then, he's had another little boy.  We promised to keep in better touch!  It was so fun to be able to hang out with them... especially because I had that week off.  We played lots of games, went to the Aquarium in Galveston and just had a good time!  Ashtyn loved playing with Levi (Lebi, as Ashtyn would say) and Ryder.  She didn't mind sharing her toys with Ryder but we had to tell her to share quite a bit with Levi.  It must be that, "I'm older than you attitude."
On one occasion I heard Levi crying and Ashtyn came running up to me, holding an Oreo that wasn't hers.  She had taken it from him and had already taken a bite!  Little stinker!  (Wonder what it's going to be like when her baby brother comes)  She did get better towards the end!
We had such a fun Christmas this year!  Ashtyn did really well about not playing with the ornaments and presents under the tree.  We let he open one of her presents on Christmas Eve, her pajamas.... so Christmas morning, she knew exactly what to do!  She ran over by the tree, sat down, grabbed a present and started opening it.  She definitely got spoiled!  Towards the end, on the clothes presents, she wouldn't even open the box... she would just look at it as say "ohhh pretty" and go about playing with her new toys or reaching for the next present!
I got a new sewing machine for my wonderful Davey!  I've been a bit obsessed ever since!  I've already made Ashtyn 2 hats, two skirts with leggings and a dress... told you, obsessed!  Here's a few of the projects I worked on:  Plus, there really cute pics of Ashtyn

We are starting to potty train... I would love to only have one child in diapers by the time baby boy gets here!

Boo!

Halloween was so much fun this year with Ashtyn!  I was sad we never made it to a pumpkin patch because Ashtyn is obsessed with pumpkins.... but she got to be one for Halloween.  Thanks to Grandma Shelley for the costume!  On Saturday, we went to a Trunk or Treat at our church and Ashtyn loved it!  She loved hanging out with the Staub girls and thinking she was one of the big kids.  For the first car she was a little shy about going up and saying trick or treat but she quickly got over that!
On actual Halloween, we went over to my parents house for soup and so they could see Ashtyn in her costume, and went trick or treating in their neighborhood.  As soon as the door would open, Ashtyn would try to go into the house!  We had a lot of fun with our "lil punkin" this year!

This girl cracks me up!  She loves to be outside and play in the water.  Thanks to our neighbors, we have this awesome kiddie pool that has a little slide.  The water is usually freezing but Ashtyn doesn't mind!  She also loves to wear her sunglasses everywhere!  She thinks she's pretty cool!

Proof that Ashtyn loves the rain!  I had lunch with my parents and this little girl was loving trying to catch the rain!

Look at that little bum!  As soon as Ashtyn hears the water for the bathtub, she goes running!

I love my little girl.  I can't believe how fast time flies.  The other day I was looking down at her as she was trying to go to sleep and realized she is not a baby anymore :(  Although I look forward to every stage in her life, it made me miss her being a newborn.
I have a toddler.  She loves to go outside or "side" as she says from the instant she gets up in the morning.  Don't judge me, but Ashtyn still loves her bottle or "billy ba".  She refuses to drink out of a sippy cup.  She'll drink out of a regular cup and a straw but does not like her sippy.

During memorial weekend, Dave and I packed up and made the 18 hour drive (in 2 days) to Durango Colorado.  I was really proud of Ashtyn!  She was such a trooper and only cried because she was bored a couple of times.  We had so much fun hanging out with Angie and Greg, Dave's parents and Grandparents.
The last two weeks have been crazy busy for us!  I had to work some dance and cheer camps so Ashtyn got to hang out with her Grandma and Grandpa.  She loves going to see them and got seriously spoiled!  My dad had to go to HEB and buy some donuts just because Ashtyn loves them!  She also got to go swimming and had a water fight with Grandpa.  See I told you she gets spoiled!
Cupcakes on Dave's birthday thanks to Angie!
Got caught feeding Max!

The other day I went on a walk with my parents and I brought my new camera along.  I'm trying to learn all I can about the thing.  I know their not professional pics or anything but I was proud of them!
